Q: Is there a fee for collectors?
A: Yes, we charge a yearly fee of $1 for an unlimited number of CanDrive campaigns. This small fee ensures that the database doesn’t get overwhelmed with inactive collectors and helps promote active collectors. To cover operating costs at CanDrives, we charge a 10% fee on collected donations. This fee not only helps pay for application updates, but it also helps pay for advertising costs that help to reach more donors and increase your donor potential!
Q: When will I be charged for my annual fee?
A: The charge will appear on your card as soon as you complete your registration, which makes you ready to run your first fundraiser. After that, you will be able to run unlimited drives the rest of the year!
Q: How do I estimate the number of cans that I have to donate?

Q: How long do I have to report the number of cans that we’ve picked up?
A: You must report the number of cans reconciled within three days after your campaign ends for them to be considered ‘reconciled’
Q: What happens if I don’t report the number of cans that were collected for my drive?
A: You will be charged the 10% of the top estimate of cans registered for your drive, plus a 5% auto reconciling fee. So, it is very important to reconcile your collected donations within three days.
Q: We are a large organization, can I have other people manage the different CanDrive campaigns?
A: Yes – inside your collector account you can add members and they can manage their own campaigns.
Q: How do we know when our cans will be picked up?
A: If it is not a First Come, First Serve Drive, Collectors will give a time and date they will be picking up cans, which you will see when you register for their campaign. Have your cans ready to go prior to their start time!
Q: How do I register as a can collector?
A: It’s easy! Everything is done through the CanDrives app. First, enter the requested information and after you are done, click the link that is sent to your email to confirm your email address. Once you’ve confirmed your email, you’re ready to go!

A: Download the CanDrives app, enter the requested information and after you are done, click the link that is sent to your email to confirm your email address. Then, you should be able to login and set up your first donation.
