Welcome to CanDrives! We’re thrilled that you’re here.

Below you will find helpful information for getting started with CanDrives as a can collector We are excited that you are going to be a part of keeping unwanted bottle deposits out of landfills. Here are a few reminders before you run your first can drive:

Getting Started

Step 1: Download CanDrives from the App Store or Google Play
Step 2: Register yourself as a can collector.
Step 3: Schedule your first can drive!
Step 4: Spread the word of your can drive to people in your area. If you're doing it on behalf of an organization, make sure to let members of that organization know about your campaign.
Step 5: Pick-Up Drives: On the day of your drive, pick up the cans of people who registered.
Step 6: Drop-off Drives: Be ready at your drop off location during the times listed in your campaign!
Step 7: Return the Cans you Collected!

Reminders:

When registering your can drive campaign, use the location of your school and/or organization. An example would be, “Manton Boys Basketball”, or “Traverse City Animal Shelter”, etc. This way, donors can easily find you in their search bar!
Please make sure to have a vehicle that is equipped to pick up the number of cans that are estimated by the donors who registered for your can drive campaign
To help with your campaign efforts, use the “add member” feature to add members to your can collecting efforts
Don’t forget to spread the word to current supporters of your organization and direct them to download the mobile app and register to donate their cans to your can drive campaign. This way, you will have one centralized location for all your donors.
Please remember that you must report your cans within three days after your campaign ends in order for them to be considered ‘reconciled’
